Weekly Drop of.... (8/20/10)

Hello my dear friend, my prayer for you this weekend is that you will see goodness of God and the excellency of His GRACE upon your life. I pray that you will take into account all that He has bestowed upon you and not discredit Him.May the Holy Spirit which teaches all truth teach you humility in His sight in order not to lean on your own understanding. Amen. As we dive into this weekend I implore you to boast not of your own as is written in Jeremiah 9:23-24 that; This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD (NIV). Apostle Paul in the Bible realizes how unworthy we are of His all that we are receiving from God and admonishes us to remember where He has picked us from. He tells us to not boast of anything. And when we have to boast, we should recognize God and boast in Him (1 Corinthians 1:26-31). You and I can think of instances in our lives where we failed to give credit to Him who all the credit is due. There have been a lot of times that I personally went like, "yeah, I got it like THAT!" when someone had praised me for something God had used me to do.

Beloved, I want you to understand that whatever or whoever you are today is only the making of the LORD. For the Bible says "Ebenezer, thus far has the LORD helped us." (1 Samuel 7:12). Sometimes we tend to be so stuck-up with ourselves that we think the whole world revolves around us. Humble yourself before the Lord and watch Him lift you up. Remember, pride, it is written, goes before a fall. So rid yourself of anything that causes you to be boastful and may God himself be your (our) helper. Amen and Amen.

Weekly Drop of.... (8/13/10)

Hello sisthren and brethren, this weekend forth I pray to God that He will cause His face to shine upon you. May it be so bright that in the midst of the storm, cloud, and all the darkness there may be in your life it's gonna be the one and only thing you will see and of course focus on. Well, our food for the weekend can be found in Psalm 118:24 - This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it (NIV). I've heard this Word and sung the song since I was a li'l kid (not that I'm so old now though). Anyways, something very deep struck me about this Word today whilst I was studying it and that's what I want to share with you. Do you remember the day you said to yourself: "Today is (going to be) a BAD DAY"? Yeah, the very day that you refused to see the goodness of God and of His beloved son, Jesus Christ your Lord. Or let's just say, for the sake of argument, that you haven't said that before. Can we then consider your best friend, if you may? Did you really, and I mean really, pay attention to her/his response yesterday when you said good morning? Uh-huh,... and I bet you don't even remember what this person's response was. What she/he said was "what is good about the/this morning?" We are so used to people giving us the same answer or response (like o I'm fine, good morning, great, I'm alright etc) that sometimes we fail to realize it when they change the gears because our ears have already received the response WE want to hear even before we ask.

Beloved, there is nothing new under the sun (Eccl 1:9), and the word of God is truly Yea and Amen. No matter what is going on in your life He is still who He says He is - the "I Am that I Am!", so be cheerful in all things. Romans 8:38-39 makes us understand that nothing can separate us from the love of God, not even a day that seem to be gloomy and cloudy. Besides all things work together for good.... The fact that we are still here alone is reason enough to be thankful and appreciative of what we have, and also be confident of what life holds for us. This is something a friend said that I thought was quite profound: "God has been faithful to us throughout the course of this year; we are almost 8 months through and we are still alive and strong to fulfill our dreams and aspirations. He deserves to be praised. Thank You God".
Remember that, "in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us". Amen!

Weekly Drop of.... (8/6/10)

Good morning sisters and brothers. As you prepare to meet the weekend, I pray to God that you will find great favor in His sight and in the sight of your fellow men as well. May He position you in such a way that nothing shall by any means MOVE you, and to open your eyes to see those who plot against you fall to your side - Amen. With that said, I would like to share a lil some'ing some'ing with you, and that is: A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man who talks too much.(Prov 20:19 NIV). The 'Bible in Basic English' version of this states that "He who goes about talking of the business of others gives away secrets: so have nothing to do with him whose lips are open wide". My understanding from this reading is channeled to the age-old saying that "he who talks to you about others talk to others about you". Beware brethren, for inasmuch as trust is the building block of every viable relationship, we need to be careful not to go about sowing our seeds-o-trust in just any body's backyard. BEWARE !!!

This is your weekly drop of... (for the weekend of 8/6/10). God bless you.
